All of our flies are tied by myself. I have been tying since the mid 1970's since when I have built up a wealth of experience and materials which means we can produce most patterns that have been recorded or construct one just for you.

Most of the frames we use are upcycled from charity shops, car boot sales and end of line sales in retail outlets. This allows us to keep out prices competitive as well as being better for the environment. Where someone has a particular requirement or a matching set is called for we use a local small business supplier.

All our materials are sourced from specialist fly tying suppliers or craft suppliers. Many of the feathers come from domestic fowl so are readily available.

As far as possible we follow the materials specified in the original patterns however many call for exotic ingredients from endangered species which are no longer available. We therefore frequently substitute these materials for more sustainable alternatives which give the same appearance.

Certainly. Where matching sets are required we work with a local small business to supply the frames and we mount them to the clients requirements.

We print our own backgrounds up to A3 size so any content can be included. In the past we have included photographs, river maps and personalised messages. We've also produced frame sets for pubs, hotels and restaurants incorporating their corporate branding.

We don't have a permanent store but we do exhibit at a number of event throughout the year where you can see our goods and have a chat. These include British Fly Fair International, Great Yorkshire Show, Chatsworth Country Fair and Craft In The Pen in Skipton.
